Welcome
About us - The Full Story
In the late 90’s I, Michael Lanfield started DJ’ing under various aliases. I started various music projects and many websites and after many unsuccessful tries I gave up and decided to research and explorer different styles. My favourite was electronic music. In the early 2000s I discovered Brian Eno’s music, “Music for Airports” and fell in love with the sound. Soon there after, I decided to dedicate my time to listening and mixing ambient music.

In 2003, after watching many documentary films and seeing the catastrophe that humans put on the world and nature, I decided that it was time that I did something about it. I started petitions, and a forum dedicated to saving nature and animals, with moderate success. I kept learning – reading books, articles and watching documentary films. My forum "Saving Animals and Their Habitats" received over 2000 users.

In the summer of 2008 I started the project Ambient New World, dedicated to offering free legal relaxing music for download. “For such beautiful music, why should people have to pay retail? Music should be distributed freely over the internet. If people like the music send the artist or company a donation”. I decided to join my music project with the environment forum and combine the two projects into one forum. The other forum "Saving Animals and Their Habitats" (including all 2000 users) to this date is lost and gone forever.

In 2009 we joined Facebook to expand our network, organize events and teach a large number of individuals on the many issues that are hidden from the truth; by mass media, public media, governments and large multi national corporations who do not want you to know the truth. We do this in many ways; through demonstrations, benefit parties, distributing fliers, signing petitions and group discussions. The topics of main concern are on the environment, cruelty and suffering towards animals, vegetarianism and veganism, the media, multi national corporations and government. We educate people on the truth and not false information mass and public media, government and large multinational corporations are portraying.

"I am a dedicated environmentalist, conservationist, animal activist and vegan. Becoming a vegan will feed the entire world ten times over."

Why is it that there are so many people out there bent on everyone, and I do mean everyone, having a purpose in life? I for one feel it’s great to think about what I’d like to do with my life and I’m sure there are many others who feel the same way. But, the key words here are “what I’d like to do with my life” and most certainly not what others feel I should do with my life.

I understand there are folks out there that feel their god or gods (or some other supernatural force) gave them and everyone else a purpose. To me, this screams of possible injustice. That is, if someone believes they have a purpose they must carry out that’s their choice to follow through with it or not. But, to use this same way of thinking to force others into their model of how things should be is simply unjust.

For example, a while back I was having a discussion about whether or not other animals have the same right we animals have in regards to not being commodified into things (i.e., legally thought of as property). Ultimately the person I was chatting with asked, “Well, if they’re not here for our food, clothing, etcetera, than what are they here for?”

To me, all of this rings of a pro-slavery mindset. That is, masters have their purpose and slaves have theirs and as long as everyone understands each other’s purpose and complies everything is great—for their masters that is.

Thus, here is my thinking on all this. If you have a burning desire that you’ve been given a purpose, and that purpose isn’t harmful, by all means either carry it out or not. But in regards to others’ purposes, please allow them to choose for themselves and therefore just let them be.

Think, then Go Vegan!

I agree with what is being said here.
You often see many people on television coming onto these shows with problems like 'I can't get a girlfriend', or 'Drugs have taken control of my life.'
No they haven't. Addiction has got nothing to do with drugs, you can get addicted to anything. It's all about the personal integrity and will power of the individual. If you sit around all day thinking things like 'I'm useless, I can't do anything, why isn't someone helping me?' then obviously you're putting a very negative view on yourself, and that won't help at all. If you want to achieve something, you have to believe you can.
It's not about everyone else, it's about you. Nobody else can make you change your ways, only you can. You can get faithful friends to help you along the way by all means, but you've got to start by making the committment.
As for the meaning of life, I don't think there is one. I think we're just another species on this planet, but we've grown arrogant of ourselves and seem to think we have the right to do and own anything. We have advanced very quickly in two million years. Take someone like a crocadile who evolves very slowly, and has stayed very much the same since the age of the dinosaurs.
Let me give an example. Christianity is one of the most famous and popular religions on the planet, but I'm also going to say it's a very arrogant one too, and very vague. The Bible says that on the sixth day God populated the world with creatures. Then he made a man in his image and said (and this is a direct quote) "Let him have power over the fish in the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, over all the earth and over everything that moves on the earth."
How arrogant and selfish is that??? But God failed to specify why he gave this power to people instead of something like a slug. I see the meaning of life as a Christian concept that came about when someone first decided to question this.
Plus, this is written in a book, and there is no proof that it ever happened. It's just a story to me, as is the rest of religion.
But then again, people choose to follow these religions out of their own choice, so the whole thing comes round in a big circle. Though there are still conversions going on. Hmm.
Just goes to show what's happening nowadays. I'll leave the rest for you to think about.

By the way Michael, don't take this the wrong way or anything, and know that I have nothing against environmentalism, but you inform everyone about making their own choice, and then tell them to become a vegan. Of course you have a loyal reason behind this, as do many religions. Fighting for what you believe in is fine, but it's just a shame that many of these people show little or no respect for what other people may have to say or think about that. They seem to think that their way of thinking is right and everyone else must follow it as well.
I say this: Yes, fight for what you believe in, but don't overdo it. Stick with it yourself, and be satisfied. Sure there will be many people who wish to join you of their own free will, but there will be just as many who do not. Just spare a thought for them. This leads to one big battle of beliefs, and no one gets anywhere if they can't just agree on something and get along. Think about it.
Thanks for your interest.

You are absolutely right!!! Religion is a hoax in my opinion and shouldn't be brought to others. If it is a fact that god existed or exists then give me the proof. Man wrote the bible, again in my opinion just to make money and implement it in mans mind. Wars have been created over religions...

As to your opinion on me, telling people about veganism... I have a few things to mention.

First of all, anyone and actually everyone should be interested in saving the planet from pollution, climate change, essentially from ourselves. And what I say are facts. The fact is that factory farming, (which constitutes to 99% of worldwide farming) and meat consumption is by far the world’s most disastrous practise that exists. It contributes to 20% of the total global released greenhouse gases known to cause climate change. And of course don’t forget animal suffering and human health implications – cancers, heart disease and many others. And I see people doing the total opposite, eating meat, dairy and eggs and I can’t understand why?

I educate people on why veginism is better and healthier, not just for humans but for the also for the earth. People have to start realizing the actions they take, shapes the way the earth revolves around us.

I agree with what you say, people have a choice. One thing I don’t understand is, I tell people why veganism is better for them, health wise and for the environment, however when I see or hear from some of them they are still eating meat… These people know what is happening to their bodies, to the environment to the animals, then why do they go on doing the same thing over and over?

There is probably only one answer. The general population, the working class have implanted in their minds that they must have a job in order to survive if billions and billions of people have jobs, then that is what they must do, if billions and billions of people eat meat then that is what they must do, eat meat. When they think of millionaires or billionaires they think of cheating, lying and bad people, when they think of vegetarians or vegans they think of extremists who want to form their own groups just to change people and be different.

All in all, I educate people what they are doing that is incorrect and the truth the media, corporations and governments send out and what is hurting the planet. I work with the planet and not against it.

If 1 million people jumped off the bridge, would you do the same?
