Welcome
About us - The Full Story
In the late 90’s I, Michael Lanfield started DJ’ing under various aliases. I started various music projects and many websites and after many unsuccessful tries I gave up and decided to research and explorer different styles. My favourite was electronic music. In the early 2000s I discovered Brian Eno’s music, “Music for Airports” and fell in love with the sound. Soon there after, I decided to dedicate my time to listening and mixing ambient music.

In 2003, after watching many documentary films and seeing the catastrophe that humans put on the world and nature, I decided that it was time that I did something about it. I started petitions, and a forum dedicated to saving nature and animals, with moderate success. I kept learning – reading books, articles and watching documentary films. My forum "Saving Animals and Their Habitats" received over 2000 users.

In the summer of 2008 I started the project Ambient New World, dedicated to offering free legal relaxing music for download. “For such beautiful music, why should people have to pay retail? Music should be distributed freely over the internet. If people like the music send the artist or company a donation”. I decided to join my music project with the environment forum and combine the two projects into one forum. The other forum "Saving Animals and Their Habitats" (including all 2000 users) to this date is lost and gone forever.

In 2009 we joined Facebook to expand our network, organize events and teach a large number of individuals on the many issues that are hidden from the truth; by mass media, public media, governments and large multi national corporations who do not want you to know the truth. We do this in many ways; through demonstrations, benefit parties, distributing fliers, signing petitions and group discussions. The topics of main concern are on the environment, cruelty and suffering towards animals, vegetarianism and veganism, the media, multi national corporations and government. We educate people on the truth and not false information mass and public media, government and large multinational corporations are portraying.

"I am a dedicated environmentalist, conservationist, animal activist and vegan. Becoming a vegan will feed the entire world ten times over."

Hi everyone. This is just a quick announcement that I'm starting a video project. I'm looking for some ambient tracks to go along with my video footage of ocean, coastlines, waves on rocks, stuff like that etc.
I'm making this project completely independently for myself, but I'll be sure to share it here if and when it is finished.
I'd like to use music by the users of this website because I want it to be a sort of compilation video project, and what better place to choose from than here? If anyone's interested in contributing any of their own ambient tracks, post me a message on this thread. Don't try and send me any tracks yet, I'm still getting all the video footage together.
The tracks you choose can be something you've used before elsewhere, or something completely new. I'd prefer new stuff though. You can read through the list below so you know what sort of music I'm looking for, and you can have time to get it together.

Track qualities - what your tracks should be like:
~Tracks should be between 4 and 10 minutes long.
~Tracks must be created by you.
~Tracks should be free-standing with a clear beginning and end. I don't want any tracks that are part of one big continuous album. Looking specifically for tracks that fade in and out from silence.
~Tracks need to be as little beat-driven as possible. I'm looking for minimally structured, ethereal, smooth flowing stuff with as little percussion as possible.
~Please only one track per artist. Remember this is a compilation project. If your track isn't what I'm looking for, feel free to submit another. I'll get in touch with everyone who sends me a track.
~Again, make sure your track fits in with all these above qualities. It saves me time going through ones that turns out I don't wish to use.

Again, don't send me any tracks yet. Just post here if you're interested.
Hope this all works out.
Cheers

Hello The Great Schizm,

if you like you can listen to my music online here: http://www.ambraduna.com
Or download here the album "Arpa Atlantis".
You can then choose the track you like the most and eventually use it for your project.
Most of my works are devoted to the oceanworld, i'm strongly inspired by it.

Check it and let me know.
Cheers

Hello again Delfinoverde.
I have listened to what your website has to offer, and your album 'Arpa Atlantis'.
I think they were all rather good, I like your style.
The tracks that I listened to that were the closest to what I'm looking for are 'Azurea', 'Sun of Sonora' and possibly 'Oceania track 002', though if I were to use the latter I'd probably have to shorten it a little.
My favourites in general are 'Ammonite' and 'Oceania track 001'.
By the way, impressive website! Like what you've done with the front page and the 360 view around the cave and the sand and all that. Really great.
Anyway, thanks again for your interest and the tracks. The ones I mentioned are probably the ones I'll stick with unless a better one appears in your collection.
I hope I get more people involved too for a greater variation of tracks.
Cheers, appreciated.

Hey,

I can send you some of our artists music to you and we can add your video(s) to our catalogue page. Right now I am extremely busy but in 1 or 2 weeks I can send the music to you.

Update: I have now begun work on my videos.
I have one track so far from Ambraduna, and I'm still looking for more.
These videos take a while to make, so there's no rush at the moment, but again, if you're interested, post a comment here on this thread, tell me that you're interested and then we can sort things out from there.
Cheers

Hello drsounds!

I've listened to your tracks on jamendo.com - fine works!
Note: the link you've put on lastfm.com does not work.

Cheers
